Go Deep
Icebergs are raw, powerful & intimidating.
They seem ready to exert their dominance.
At their sole discretion.
And icebergs are fragile, frozen melting monuments.
That share what is available to the naked eye.
And keep most of their history beneath the surface.
Icebergs are time machines.
For they are 10,000 years in the making.
And in a sudden, sharp crack they become art exhibitions.
Icebergs are art & life.
For they are what we need. In our bodies. And in our minds.
They teach us of strength & beauty.
They show us their surface. And hide from us. The truth.
For what is underneath. What is deep inside.
Can often contain & reveal.
Most of who we are.
Icebergs remind us to go deep.
With each other, to truly know each other. And care for each other.
Icebergs remind us of the fragility that exists in all of us.
And that time melts away.
For each of us. All of us.
In this ephemeral gift called life.
